In Bihar some great work is happening in the area of helping kids who are bright and eager for higher education but lack resources.
This initiative was started by Mr. Anand Kumar. He was himself a brilliant student who got the opportunity to study in Cambridge but his financial situation did not allow that. He decided to dedicate his life to helping students like himself. To that end he started the Ramanujam Institue of Mathematics to coach students for the entrance exams of premier institutes like IIT, NIT etc. Later he started selecting a group of 30 students who were very bright and hardworking but came from pretty poor background. These 30 students were given free boarding and coaching. Every year his hit rate of students getting selected for IIT's is nearly 100% !! There are many amazing stories of sons and daughters rickshaw-puller, very poor farmers, disabled kids whose lives have been transformed by Super 30.

Taking a cue from this Maulana Wali Rahmani of Khanqah Rahmania, Munger , Bihar has started Rahmani 30, with very good results too. This caters to poor students of mainly minorities. Wali Rahmani Sahab is related to my wife, and he in fact conducted my 'nikaah'.
These initiatives are extremely commendably and should be fully appreciated and supported.
