Yesterday was my Birthday. I had taken the day off, but was mostly home as it is Ramazaan. Farah had made a cake which I cut after Iftaar. She has also presented me with a wallet and a lovely T-Shirt.
It is extremely sad to see the way Israel is pounding Gaza and killing innocents. It seems as if Israel is like a runaway bandit. It just attacks the Palestinians whenever it feels like. All the countries which are so-called champions of Democracy and Peace just stand and watch and in fact project Israel as the victim !!
In the US, the Israel Lobby is so strong that no senator dares to challenge or go against it. There is now growing opinion that in doing what Israel wants US may actually be going against what is its national interest.
It is the height is double standards.
